This was painted on the spot looking out towards Scarba and Jura with Mull in the distance. The corryvreckan is a whirlpool which was tame on this occassion -a very mild Autumn day with wonderful colours.

Crinan Harbour; late afternoon

This is a natural harbour protected by an island. the Autumn colours were stunning and i was looking at the contrast between the moss on the rocks in the foreground and the dark of the fir trees which had been mostly felled to reveal the rust of the bracken on the hillside.
